Azilal rugs are works of art weaved traditional weaving looms which every rural Berber woman in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco tells her story. The themes are all inspired by tribal life such as birth, motherhood, marriage and even farming imagined by the weaver who made it, it is a skillful balance between weaving and knotting that allows them to create unique rugs with vintage patterns and colors.
These rugs are all individually crafted by hand, and are simply beautiful. They are made from natural sheep wool.
Their wool tends to be finer, producing a lustrous, almost cloth-like covering. They feature simplistic geometric shapes and patterns with dashes of vibrant colors always on a cream background.
